Wage Evidence Compliance

Introductory Guide

To All Things Wage Evidence Related and How To Succeed With It.

At OCG we have waded through the extensive policies and procedures that the Government have set forth, as part of the terms and conditions of receiving the funding opportunity.

Here we outline 5 steps to set you up for the greatest return on investment.

1
Compliance Requirements

There have been a number of updates to the way the Department of Employment, Skills and Education (DESE) is managing their processes. The introduction of ADMS portal, oneTOUCH payroll and other initiatives has changed the requirements for wage evidence documentation.

Wage evidence must confirm all of the below:

  • Employer ABN (or just employer name if lodging a payment summary)
  • Apprentice Name
  • Payment Periods
  • Payment Amounts
2
Due Dates for Wage Evidence

To meet the requirements of DESE and to have a successful claim, we have streamlined the process to make it simple and easy for your HR/Payroll team to provide OCG with your wage evidence.

On the first day of every new claim cycle, one of our Customer Care Team members will contact you to request wage evidence and provide you with a list employees we require this data for.

Having this data supplied to OCG, in the correct format will speed up the processing of your claims and have you seeing the return of investment from this funding opportunity faster.

Wage Evidence can be emailed directly to OCG Claims department via claims@consultoctopus.com.au

Setting Up for Success
It is our expert knowledge and ability to simplify the process that sees our partnerships thrive. We have 3 key steps that assist in providing outstanding outcomes:
  • Health Checks

We believe in prevention not cure, responsive action and not reaction. To ensure a stress free claiming cycle, from time to time our Customer Care Team will conduct a health check on your wage evidence throughout the claim cycle. If any red flags are identified, your Account Manager will contact you and assist in correcting these.

  • Email Address

It is best practice to have a shared email inbox with your Account Manager at OCG that is dedicated for training communication which will allow your Account Manager to act on your behalf in relation to the entire training project. Your Account Manager will reach out to you to assist with this step.

  • Know Your Traineeship Commitments

Each State has different minimum requirements across hours worked and allocated training time for traineeships. On the next page we have provided a table that details the minimum hours required per state.
